Temple Emanu-El is committed to lifelong learning for students of all ages. Topics in our Adult Education classes range from Jewish history, religion, and culture to parenting and personal growth.
Some classes venture beyond the traditional -- Lunch and Learn Torah Study with the Rabbi on the fourth Wednesday of each month offers an opportunity to discuss a wide range of relevant topics in an open forum. Introduction to Judaism is taught by our Rabbi, Dana Magat, along with Rabbi Melanie Aron of Shir Hadash, Rabbi Jamie Alpert of Congregation Beth David, and Rabbi Josh Berkenwald of Congregation Sinai. The course is designed for those interested in learning the basics (and more!) about Judaism. Our new Torah Trope Class with Cantor Amanda Edmondson is an eight week class beginning on January 6, 2019. Continuing lifecycle experiences, such as Adult b’nai mitzvah and adult confirmation programs are also available.
